SINGAPORE, 21 August 2019 -- Singapore can look forward to rocking to two days of multi-genre dance music on 6 and 7 December 2019 at Sentosa’s iconic Siloso Beach, thanks to the Legacy Dance Music Festival (“Legacy Festival”) put together by an all-local, homegrown team of DJs and creative talents.
The event will be headlined by top DJs from around the world, playing to an expected 25,000 crowd over the two days.
Top international DJs Tiësto and Don Diablo are confirmed in the first phase announcement of the line-up, along with Cosmic Gate, Mark Sixma and Swanky Tunes, with more top international DJ 100 names to be announced in the month of September.
The brainchild of Singapore DJ Andrew T, a producer-artiste with AC Music Entertainment Pte Ltd, the Legacy Festival will see local creatives involved in the mega light, sound and music festival.
DJ Andrew T is currently helming Diamond Life as resident DJ of CÉ LA VI Singapore, one of the top 100 clubs in the world. One of the founders of AOS Collective, a crew of music and creative talents, he plays for clubs and important events in Singapore and around the world and was a music director for the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic and 2015 SEA Games & ASEAN Para Games.
Besides DJ Andrew T as Festival Director, the team backing and organising the Legacy Festival includes AC Music Entertainment’s Chairman Lim Yew Ming, Ken (PBM); AC Music Entertainment’s CEO and Festival Producer Charles Tso; Terence Kong, Managing Partner of Aurora Media and co-producer of the Festival; and AC Music Entertainment’s Addam Maleq as Festival Production Director -- all veterans in Singapore’s music and entertainment scene.
AC Music Entertainment is a diversified entertainment company, a subsidiary of Aik Chuan Group, and it most recently partnered Red Spade Entertainment to produce Skechers Sundown Festival 2019 held at Siloso Beach.
Said DJ Andrew T: “We have always wanted to tap our local creative talents to organise a mega multi-genre dance music festival that would have the raw energy and mass appeal and create a memorable experience for all who attend it, so when the right venue and dates opened up, we grabbed it. Armed with some 60 years of combined experience among them, the organising team has pulled out all stops to ensure the Festival will be produced to international standards and provide a unique experience for dance music festival fans from both Singapore and abroad. “Our Festival is all-inclusive and for the masses, it will be energetic, friendly and progressive,” DJ Andrew T added.
Going by the theme, A NEW DAWN, the stage merges music, digital art and immersive technology to enhance partygoers’ experiences and foster collaboration in their different spaces.
Participants will wear radio-controlled wrist bands which are instrumental in enhancing audience engagement where large crowds are. The wrist bands will be triggered simultaneously at festival high points to create stunning visual effects using flash patterns, a radical upgrade from the “lighters in the air” moments in other festivals.
Early Bird tickets are priced at S$90 (1-day pass) and S$150 (2-day pass) for Early Bird; S$130 (1-day pass) and S$180 (2-day pass) for Advance Sales; and S$200 at the door; and will be available at http://www.gogotix.sg (going live just before 30 August 2019).
